Hair-Don't

I don't know what to do with Madeline and Leah's hair. It all comes forward from way back on their head and constantly looks pretty terrible. I can put pigtails in but they tend to just stick straight up and look rather silly. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have no idea. I always said I'd make sure my kids didn't have those come from the back of the head bangs (my cousin suffered this fate through elementary school) but my boys hair grows like this and it's just not thick enough to stay any other way just yet. If you comb it back when it's wet does it dry that way? Maybe help to train those roots to lay a different direction? They have so much hair- I love it!
